    FAA, or Formaldehyde Alcohol Acetic Acid, is a fixative preparation used to preserve suitable biological or botanical specimens before further educational laboratory processing and observation. It is relevant to practical work involving specimen preparation and microscopy.

    In school and college laboratories, FAA may support supervised activities in which students prepare plant or other suitable specimens for microscopic study.
